Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) class 24 general-purpose locomotive. Standard design locomotive with Witte smoke deflectors.

Model: The locomotive has a digital decoder and a special motor. The boiler is constructed of metal. All axles powered. Traction tires. The locomotive has close couplers in NEM standard pockets. The triple headlights change over with the direction of travel, will work in conventional operation, and can be controlled digitally. The headlights are maintenance-free LEDs. The locomotive has a smoke generator contact, and a smoke generator (72270) can be installed in the locomotive. Length over the buffers 19.4 cm / 7-5/8".
